Fees and Insurance
For
those who have no insurance, or want to maintain a greater degree of privacy
than allowed under insurance or managed care, I offer a sliding fee scale to make your psychotherapy as affordable as
possible and avoid interference from "gatekeepers". Fees range from $45 to $120 per 50-60 minute
session.
Insurance: I
participate in a limited number of insurance networks.:
This
means that I have agreed to accept a negotiated payment amount to provide
service for you,
which
may include a specific copay/coinsurance amount for you to pay.
In
most cases, the insurance company will only cover counseling sessions
if
you are diagnosed with a mental disorder.
In
the case of Employee Assistance Programs,
a
limited number of sessions may be provided at no charge to you.
The
EAP sessions also do not require a diagnosis.
Please
contact your insurance company to determine whether I am in your network.
If
I am in your network, I will usually file the claim for you.
If
I am not in the network for your plan, you may have "out of network" benefits.
I
would typically charge you my regular rates and provide you with a receipt or
statement.

You
could then submit the claim directly to your insurance company
and
receive any reimbursement directly from them.
You
will typically pay (either the full amount or copay)
before
you leave our session.
